John Preston is Professor of Rail Transport at the University of Southampton, UK, and Co-Chair of WCTRS's Rail Special Interest Group. He has held over 160 research grants and contracts, worth over £23 million, has published over 400 articles, book chapters, conference and working papers and has successfully supervised over 40 doctoral students.
